Social Action Project Ideas!

Ok so i was looking over that website and i searched under Teens. I found a really cool project called “Unlocking Today’s Generations” and its a project involving tutoring, talking, and playing with kids who just basically need somone to hang out with or talk to. I think this is a cool idea because i feel that as a teen, i would be able to be there for a student to talk to or help out with school stuff. It says in the description that many parents of students or teens don’t have enough time to listen to their problems or help them with their homework. I totally agree because i know at my house, its always so hectic and there’s barely anytime to just sit and talk to someone. So this idea is so cool and its something easy that anyone could do:D
The second project that caught my eye might sound a little cheesy to some people. Its called the “Sweethearts” project. Its a project to help girls become lady’s and to help them prepare for life after Hight School. To some this might sound dumb, but i really think that our generation of woman gets underestimated and looked past. They are also getting taken advantage of and put down. I feel that a project like this would encourage girls out of high school to make something of their lives and set goals for their future. Me being a teen girl, i see how much potential teen girls have but most of the time don’t put that potential to use. So I really like this project because of the fact that, again, anyone could be involoved, and i think it would really help young woman prepare and mature of life after high school.

I really like your ideas for your social action research paper. The first one sounds really intriguing and something that is definitely needed and do-able. I’m not too sure about the second one. It almost sounds like we’re going back to the days when the woman was a house wife. Of course, you read more on the project than I did and I’m sure it’s more than that. Your british author paper sounds like it’s going pretty smoothly as well. Ta-ta

I think this project sounded really cool. I think everyone needs a little guiding every now and then. It reminds me of the Hull Houses that we are learning about in World History that helped woman immigrants with house cleaning and stuff like that. It sounds like a really positive experience

I really like your first idea. Having a “mentor” would mean the world to a lot of people. It is a great outreach program that I would definitly be on-board to help out with. Your second idea is good, but I think your first idea is by far the best. Keep up the good work.

so I thought these were both pretty great projects that wouldn’t be too bad to be involved in . .obviously the second doesn’t really pertain to me at all because I’m not a female . . but hey what ever right? It would be great to help a teen with little or no attention though it’s much like a mentorship right? Anyways, I think you picked a couple of great project and you explained them pretty well.

I definitely find that you’re interested in the self-esteem of your fellow students and how to keep them moving forward. Maybe this would be a good topic for your project. You have always been good with handling your emotions and i know you have helped me a time or two, so i think that this would be a good choice for you..especially if it interests you that much. Good luck with whatever your choice may be!

I absolutely love both of your ideas. They aren’t like the rest and they are projects that might not seem like much but they could save a life you know!!!
